development events for you to choose from. Between lessons in
negotiating and workshops on SharePoint and big data, there’s something
for everyone. Check out the listing below, and watch for event posts as

Crash Course in SharePoint w/ Kate Wilson – Thursday
September 12, 6-8pm @ Room 417, iSchool. Are you interested in what
SharePoint has to offer? Do you have SharePoint, but don’t know what to
do with it? This is the workshop for you! During this course, we will
be covering basic SharePoint concepts, as well as giving you a crash
course in how to do all the basics in SharePoint: creating and editing
sites, pages, document libraries, lists, tasks, and more!

Copyright 101 w/ Rob Weisberg - Tuesday October 8, 6-8pm.
Responsibility for copyright compliance liability is typically assigned
to or “assumed’ to be handled by librarians and other information
professionals. How can you be sure you are satisfying your
organization’s compliance policies? Copyright has been in the news a
lot recently with Supreme Court cases and the new Copyright Act. What
is new? What has changed? What does it mean? Should you care? This
interactive presentation and discussion will address these issues and
any other questions or concerns.
Win-Win Negotiating w/ Juanita Richardson - Wednesday
October 16, 6-8pm. With this session, presented using a 360° Learning
model, the speaker shares a framework for principled negotiation that
enables participants to apply win-win negotiating skills to any
conversation. Then we break out to Learn 360°. With the speaker
becoming part of the learners in the audience, we engage in a discussion
around an issue of interest to the audience –for example, negotiating
the Big Deal in the face of changing user needs and limited budgets.
